The sounds of the forest, and perhaps a shy monkey
Jungle Lodge Baobab sits among the trees, reached by a tended path from the main dock. You wake to birdsong and jungle sounds, and with some luck a shy monkey passes through the branches.
The lodge rises over three levels and faces its twin, Jungle Lodge Acacia, across the path. Whichever way you look, it is all jungle.
The heart of the lodge is a screened outdoor living room: a sofa, a hanging egg chair, a coffee table, a dining table with four chairs, a kitchenette and ceiling fans. A quiet reading nook sits to one side.
The bedroom has a king bed, a desk, a dresser, a wardrobe, an iron and board and a small private balcony. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet, hot and cold water, a hair dryer, a vanity and toiletries. There is no television in the unit; the TV is in the Orchid Lounge.
There is no air conditioning here: the whole resort runs off the grid, on solar power. There are ceiling fans in the living room and the bedroom.

- Getting here
- Isla Bastimentos is reached by boat only. We pick you up at Bocas del Toro airport and bring you back; the round-trip transfer is included. Please share your arrival details at least 24 hours ahead.
- Off the grid
- The resort runs on solar power and rainwater, so there is no air conditioning; there are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. We kindly ask you to be mindful with water and energy.
- At night
- There is a night security service at the resort.
